Still Strugglin'!!! And People Are FINALLY Talking...

Yeah, the computer is still on the operating table. Sucktastic!

In the meantime, I witnessed two Fein events... a Headlights show last weekend at the Canopy and the latest scribblings from Shampain-Herbana's own shock jock, Seth. Let me just say that it was nice to FINALLY see someone publicly lambast Loren Tate. So many of us moan and groan, but Seth took up the mantle and called him out. Nice one! Yes, Seth, an opinion columnist is entitled to just that, their opinion. Being an asshole means never having to say your sorry... unless it's gonna cost you money. *laughs* But, yeah, good to see the vitriol spewing forth with no abandon.

As for Headlights, they were very good, as were Shipwreck. All for $5... I'm broke, probably could have gotten on the list, and yet I more than happily plunked down the duckets. I only wish I would have been able to get ahold of that new live album Headlights had at the show... anyone able to contribute? Let me know via comment and/or email.

The new Neil Young album is as damning a document that we are likely to have against the current administration in Washington. No one's ponied up an effort nearly as concise to this point, and it certainly is inspiring to see Mr. Young, a natural born Canadian, grab the torch like no one else and say the words the rest of the music world seems too apathetic to say. Take a lesson folks; Neil recorded these songs in a spell-binding six days and wrote some of them right there in the studio. Come on Bright Eyes, Death Cab, Pearl Jam, Chili Peppers, etc. What the fuck else has to happen? It's time for more of these statements to be made. So they will be a little dated in 20 years. WHO FUCKING CARES!?!?! If there's no free speech to defend in the future, everyone will wonder why the hell no one was speaking out now.

And, by the way, Steven Colbert... yeah. You're the man Jon Stewart wishes he had the balls to be. Nice one! Few people get the chance to skewer the Commander In Chief to his face, but you did it in front of nearly all of his contemporaries, his wife, and the majority of the press on national television. BRA-FUCKING-VO!!!! I don't know who was in charge of hiring the speaker for that event, but they evidently had a "V" for Vendetta against the big bossman. Good for them! Going from the "gut" like that... *laughs*

See you all in the ether...

Apparently you don't read my column...

"Of what I was blissfully unaware was the fact a dog’s kidneys produce a discharge which possesses a pH-factor only slightly less acidic than Loren’s “Tatelines” column the week the NCAA voted to cut the bottoms out of the peach baskets."

My apologies! I've been a little beyond busy as of late, and without consistent net access, I'm left with fewer opportunities to check out columns on a consistent basis. Hopefully, that will rectify itself in the coming week. Thanks for checking in!

I understand, Grey. When all is said and done, what is most important is Sunny Tate is properly lambasted.
